Treasure Trooper is a money making site in a similar vein to Swagbucks but with a stronger emphasis on colourful design, games and social elements. Although I’m not sure that Treasure Trooper is the fastest or best way of making extra money it does have a charm which is largely missing from the other sites I’ve tried so I think it’s worth giving it a shot to see if it works for you.

It’s also worth pointing out that if you sign up via my referral link you’ll receive a $5 starting bonus rather than the $1 you receive if you sign up normally. Treasure Trooper also have a blogger program; so if you have a blog and you’d like to discuss the site you can sign up here.

Swagbucks Tip #9 : Collect points on Hideout.tv

If you’re unfamiliar with Swagbucks, I discuss it in much more detail in my blog article.

Hideout.tv is a video streaming platform which allows you to earn points for trade with a large number of cash back sites. Initially I thought it wasn’t possibly to partner the site with Swagbucks as it wasn’t an option on the “Loyalty Program Rewards” page. However, I have since discovered that this is possible using the following method:

Open the Discover page on Swagbucks
Open the AscendMedia offers
Open a video on Hideout.tv via one of the AscendMedia links
Your Swagbucks account should now be registered with Hideout.tv.

Thanks to the Swagbucks community for this tip which I discovered by reading through the comments on a site post.

Hideout.tv is a video streaming site which rewards you with points whenever you watch one of the adverts they show between videos.

These points can then be converted into the tokens used by income sites such as Swagbucks.

The conversion rate between Hideout.tv points and cashback sites tends to be very low so it’s a site that’s probably only worth using if you genuinely enjoy watching the videos.

Swagbucks Tip #8 : Member Recognition Program

If you’re unfamiliar with Swagbucks, I discuss it in much more detail in my blog article.

Swagbucks recently introduced a member recognition program which rewards you for reaching certain milestones. At the time of writing I’m on the Amethyst level and approaching Jade.

The rewards are mainly centred around SB rebates and bonus SBs but also offer shopping bonuses and Swag ups such as double points on your next survey completion.

Mistplay major update

Mistplay has recently released a major update to its service.

Note: At the time of writing this hasn’t been rolled out to all users so you may not see the changes for a little while.

In addition to the features mentioned in my review the app now supports daily play streaks, contests, a dedicated tab for game badges (achievements) and a “bonus” page.

Sweatcoin

Sweatcoin is an iPhone and Android app which pays you in tokens to walk. These tokens can be exchanged for prizes which vary over time. Interestingly the Sweatcoin team plan to transform their currency into a real tradeable cryptocurrency which would be interesting if/when that happens.

Be warned that the Sweatcoin app is a potential battery drain but the effects seem to vary from phone to phone.

New round of Swago available + Spin and Win!

What is Swago?

What is Swagbucks?.

This round of Swago has a 300 SB maximum bonus and includes the popular “Spin and Win”. Spins are earned by completing squares on the Swago board. If you manage to complete the entire board you’ll earn 50 spins!

There are often “rebates” offered where you get a certain number of Swagbucks back when redeeming a gift card. There are also huge SB bonuses as well as a number of smaller (but still worthwhile) options.

See Swagbucks Tip #1 for my discussion of why it’s worthwhile to stockpile some SBs for event like this.

Tutti Frutti Team Challenge now live on Swagbucks

The Swagbucks Tutti Frutti team challenge is now available. Once signed up here, you will be allocated to a team and you can begin earning points. If you earn 600 or more points over the course of the event you’ll receive a reward, with the reward you receive depending on how well your team as a whole performed. The Swagbucks team describe it as follows:

All members who participate and contribute at least 600 points to their team’s total will receive a SB bonus in the form of a SB Swag Up Rebate! Members of the 1st place team will receive a 100 SB Swag Up Rebate, members of the 2nd place team will receive a 50 SB Swag Up Rebate, members of the 3rd place team will receive a 25 SB Swag Up Rebate, and members of the 4th place team will receive a 10 SB Swag Up Rebate. The Swag Up Rebate will be made available by June 15th at 4PM BST and expires on June 30th at 7:59AM BST.

20 Cogs is a service which rewards you with cash for completing offers but only pays out after 20 offers have been completed. Although I was initially nervous that it would fail to pay out, I can confirm that it pays out quickly and I found this to be a good way of making extra money.

YouGov

YouGov is a public opinion gathering platform where people can give and discuss their opinions on the issues of the day. Surveys are offered periodically which can be completed to earn money or entries into prize draws.

YouGov pays out £50 once you have collected 5000 points. Each survey is generally worth 50 points so you have to complete around 100 surveys, with each survey taking roughly 10-15 minutes to complete.

The YouGov app is available on Android and iOS, which can be helpful as it notifies you whenever a new survey is released.
